Seven day trips within 40 minutes of Solaris Palace
The hotel is the base camp — the Tweed Coast is the point. Seven outings our team actually recommends, all under 40 minutes from the lobby.

Guests ask us daily what to do between checkout and the flight. Here's the list we actually give — tested, timed and ranked loosely by how often guests come back raving.
1. Kingscliff Beach — 8 minutes
The morning swim spot. Patrol flags, a creek mouth that's calm for kids, and coffee at the surf club after. Go before 9 am and you'll share it with pelicans and nobody else.
2. Cabarita Headland — 15 minutes
A short climb to the headland for the coast's best lookout — whales May to November, dolphins most mornings. The bakery at the bottom does a meat pie that ends arguments.
3. Tropical Fruit World — 12 minutes
Weird and wonderful working farm — tractor tours, fruit tasting, and the reason our bar has a yuzu cocktail.
4. Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Centre — 20 minutes
Proper regional gallery with the Olley recreation and a hinterland view worth the drive alone. Free entry.
5. Wollumbin / Mount Warning area — 35 minutes
The summit track is closed out of respect for Bundjalung wishes, but the valley drive, picnic spots and lookout walks remain spectacular.
6. Byron Bay — 40 minutes
Yes, it's busy. Go midweek, park once, lighthouse walk first, lunch second, leave by 3 pm. Or skip it and tell people you went.
7. The farm gates — various, 15–30 minutes
Yuki's supplier loop: mad-dog lane eggs, the avocado honesty box on the old highway, and a cheese place we're not naming because there's barely enough for us.
Ask reception for the printed map — Priya marks it up daily.
